I know that the water flowing over it has changed the shaped of the rocks.
Oh, it's taken time. A lot of it. But it has happened.
It's all about change, isn't it?
We wake up one morning, thinking we know what our day will be like. By nightfall, it can all change. In ways we never imagined. In ways we've desperately wanted or ways of unimaginable heartache.
That's just life.
We change. Things change around us. We either learn from it or we don't. We either fight the good fight or we don't.
But life never stands still. It moves. It flows. It lives.
It's like friendship or love. How often do we hang on to our friendships with our friends? Or our love to each other?
We become complacent, but life doesn't.
It moves and grows and nourishes and comforts and kills. Life gives us many gifts, but it also takes away. Maybe, just maybe, it's only allowing us to borrow those things that bring us joy and the people who bring us love.
And so change is here.
As I mentioned in my comments yesterday, YouTude no longer exists. It will not pull a Lazarus and be brought back to life. It has served and served well. Many people contributed to it, and for that, I will always be grateful. Thank you for the articles you've written and the times you've stopped by to leave a comment.
The Kennel is also gone. Not killed like YouTude, but taken private, so from time to time, I and I alone can re-read some of the words that gave me such joy.
Change is also coming here.
No longer will I write posts about my life. To be honest, it's boring. And I'm tired and weary of writing about myself.
I also will not put the pressure on myself to write something every single day. Some days I may post an article, some days not.
Some days I may post a political article (with my slant to it, of course), and other days I may post an article I've read somewhere about some crazy stuff people have done or had happen to them.
I am also removing my "Followers" widget on the sidebar. I don't have many, but I still feel a bit of jealousy when I visit blogs who have over 20 followers. That is just pure vanity on my part.
Maybe this is my way of winding down my blogging days. Not sure about that yet. When and if that happens, you'll be the first to know.
Funny, isn't it, how a computer, a keyboard and a monitor can virtually take over our life, without us giving it much thought.
But as voxd once said to me, life takes precedence over blogging and comments.
I came across this poem while contemplating change.
